Location: Module Yard / FST Conversion Yard / LNG Site, Squamish
Schedule: 12 days on, 7 days off, with an estimated 10 hours/day - - Start Date: 11/12/2024 | End Date: 2/8/2027
Accommodations: Floatel or in-town apartment provided
Travel Reimbursement: 10 hours per travel day + mileage at $0.59/km.
Reporting to the Lead Inspector, the coatings and insulation inspector will be expected to proactively monitor all aspects of the coatings and insulation installation work at the assigned work location.
Requirements
- Valid NACE CIP level 2 or 3 certification
- 5+ years coatings inspection experience
- Detailed understanding of applicable Canadian and international codes and standards
- Coating and insulation processes used in LNG facilities
- Structural Steel, Pressure vessels, Piping isometrics, piping fabrication drawings and P&IDs Quality programs and processes
- Working understanding of project execution, fabrication and construction practices
- Read, write and speak fluent English
Roles & Responsibilities
- QA surveillance of contractor's adherence to contractual requirements of coatings and insulation processes and procedures at the assigned worksite
- Conducts daily inspection of coatings and insulation activities in line with the ITPs and generates concise, accurate daily reports of inspections and tests.
- Surveillance assessments of Contractor and Subcontractor Coatings and insulation records, contractors ITP and adherence to contractors Quality Plan
Weekly/Monthly Deliverables
- Maintain daily log of inspection activities
- Produce relevant field quality control (QC) inspection reports
- Provide quality metrics and input to weekly quality report to Lead Inspector
